Hours: 2 hours per day, exact time to be confirmed
Compensation: Hourly rate (negotiable) + daily coffee and cake
About the role
I\\\'m a native English speaker at German A1/A2 level looking for a relaxed, conversation-focused German tutor to meet daily in Vienna\\\'s coffee houses. These sessions will run alongside a formal course I\\\'m already enrolled in, so the goal isn\\\'t structured grammar teaching but spoken practice with a focus on Austrian German and everyday usage.
Sessions will be informal: small talk, pronunciation, and building the confidence to actually use what I\\\'m learning in class.
What you\\\'ll do
- Lead easy, patient conversations pitched slightly above my current level
- Correct pronunciation, grammar, and word choice as we talk
- Introduce useful vocabulary and expressions
- Help me practise situations I\\\'ll actually encounter (cafés, shops, small talk)
Ideal candidate
- Native speaker of (Austrian) German
- Currently studying German linguistics, Germanistik, German as a Foreign Language, or training/working as a German language teacher
- Some tutoring, teaching, or language exchange experience preferred but not essential
- Comfortable working with beginners and adjusting pace on the fly
- Based in Vienna and happy to meet in coffee houses around the city (either morning or afternoon, some flexibility)
- Friendly, patient
